Dr. Jonathon Jimmerson O.D. biography photo

Dr. Jonathon Jimmerson, O.D.

Dr. Jonathon Jimmerson leads the practice with an accomplished and multifaceted skillset in the eye care industry.

He has a commitment to staying at the forefront of eye care technology, and strengthens this by his involvement in academia. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Alumni Association at the New England College of Optometry, where he received his Doctorate. He is also the Director of Eye Care Services for Charles River Community Health in Brighton, Massachusetts. His access to the latest advancements in optometry gives him the unique position to bring these offerings to his patients.

Dr Jimmerson’s breadth of knowledge includes multi-specialty eye and vision primary care, as well the unique needs of the geriatric and veteran populations. As a student, he received the Dr. Hyman R Kamens Award for “honesty, leadership, and commitment to serving others,” and he continues to present these qualities today. His patients find him attentive, gracious, calm and reassuring. A native of Florida, Dr. Jimmerson now calls the greater Boston area his home, and loves to spend time with his wife Allison, daughter Emmy, and son Cole.

Dr. Suzanne Ward, O.D.

Dr. Suzanne Ward founded Center Eye Care in 2007 to serve the vision needs of her community, with a focus on excellence and outstanding service.

She has been practicing optometry for over 20 years, and her extensive list of lifelong patients is a testament to her professionalism, kindness, and dedication to the industry. Her ongoing professional education has always been at the forefront of her commitment to offer advancements in eye care and vision technology, which in turn delivers a better quality of life for her patients.

She is a graduate of the New England College of Optometry and Mount Holyoke College, and has worked with some of New England’s best eye care professionals at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. In 2018, Dr. Ward welcomed Dr. Jimmerson to lead the practice, and they continue to deliver the quality of care and devotion she holds dear. She currently sees patients on a part-time basis.

Our office is a warm and sunny space, where members of our community and surrounding towns feel welcome and comfortable. Our friendly staff maintains our family run business environment, and we are confident you will feel at home in our laid back waiting area and cheery showroom.
